A little about Me
Nature has always held a fascination for me. As a kid I was often tramping through the woods and wading in creeks and ponds looking for interesting critters. I grew up in upstate New York where there are no poisonous snakes!
My childhood interest in horses kindled my first artistic endeavors. As a subject, horses require quite a bit of observation and practice.
I spent a number of years as a technical illustrator enjoying the challenge for accuracy and detail. I left this job to be a late in life stay at home mom with my third child.
For a number of years I designed greeting cards as a free lance artist in addition to belonging to a co-op art gallery. I also started a great small business growing, drying and arranging flowers and herbs.
Recently I have taken up plein air painting . After many years of working inside, I can't wait to be outside.
I feel like I've come full circle! I want to once again tramp through the woods and look for creeks and ponds. Here in Texas of course you have to look out for some critters!
I hope you enjoy my site. I have many interest so my subjects are varied.
